Imbee Park, searching for 4 majors this year, stumbles in the second round

Inbee Park, looking for her fourth major this year, struggles in round 2 of the RICOH Women’s British Open. After a 3-under-par 69 in the first round, Inbee shot a 1-over-par 73 in the second round. Now 8 shots back, Inbee seems to be out of contention. However, don’t count her out because the quality of golf she has played this year is off the charts, and anything is possible. Look for Suzann Patterson to come out firing tomorrow and move her way up the leader board.

Tiger Woods, showing flashes of his past self in the second round

Meanwhile in Ohio, Tiger Woods  seems to be back in form after shooting a 9-under-par 61 in the second round. With a card filled with 7 birdies, 1 eagle, and 10 pars, Tiger is leading by 7 shots, a pretty large lead after only two rounds. If Tiger can put away this tournament, he will for sure be the favorite at the PGA Championship. The closest players to Tiger right now are Keegan Bradley and Chris Wood at 6-under-par through two rounds, 7 shots back. I wouldn’t expect Tiger to struggle with this large lead, but if he does, look for Keegan Bradley to capitalize on his mistakes and play well this weekend.
