In the second installment of Pass or play, I wanted to talk about a brand that people don’t hear much about. SeeMore is an American brand based in Franklin, Tennessee. They make tour level putters that are affordable and are backed with aiming technology unique to only their brand. The Riflescope technology allows you to effectively line all of their putters up. It’s very simple; if you don’t see the red dot, your putter face is square. If you see the red dot, then your putter face isn’t square and you need to re-align the club face.
From personal experience, the SeeMore putters are pretty nice. I have only putted with them indoors, but from what I could tell, the alignment technology does really work. However, when contacting the ball, their is a bit of a hollow sound which you get from a lot of cheaper putters. This sound translates to the putter face feeling firmer than it actually is. If they got rid of this cheap, high pitched sound, the club face in reality would feel softer to the buyer, even though it actually isn’t. That reduction in sound would probably change my opinion about the club, but as of right now, this is a club I would pass on. Add in the fact that the only well known professional playing the SeeMore is Zach Johnson and this club hasn’t really proved itself too much on tour.
Final verdict: PASS
